To kick off my new blog, I’ve got 12 days of giveaways and my personal recommendations for the holiday season. I’m kicking it off today with Shutterfly Photo Books.
You probably know Shutterfly as an online photo service that allows you to upload your photos, have them printed and mailed to you. But they also offer some great options for photo gifts and digital scrapbookers. I’ve been having a great time creating digital scrapbook layouts, but was initially leary of the photobook option.
I can now tell you that Shutterfly’s photo books are high quality. They are hard-bound books (more durable than your average post-bound or strap-bound scrapbook) with an option of a leather cover or a photo cover. The smaller sizes have soft covers and the larger sizes have hard covers. Shutterfly provides excellent tutorials and templates for digital scrapbookers and for anyone who wants to simply upload their photos and create a beautiful keepsake book. Our homeschool group has used them for the past two years to create yearbooks.
These books would make fantastic gifts for the holiday and they take less than a half-hour to create. I’ve got 3 codes to give away for free photo books in sizes 5×7, 7×9 and 8×8. What a great idea – use the photo books for yearbooks. To order yearbooks for our homeschooling group, we would have to order a huge amount and not everyone was up for buying a yearbook. I look forward to your blog. Thanks!
